Lucknow: HCL Technologies founder and Chairman Shiv Nadar on Friday met Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav in Lucknow.

The meeting assumes importance in the backdrop of the UP government announcing its IT policy earlier this week and approving the proposal to set up an IT city in Lucknow and Agra.
This is Nadar's second meeting with Yadav in Lucknow since the latter assumed charge as the chief minister of the state.

The two had last met on April 2, this year. Though there was no official statement on the meeting which was termed as a courtsey call, sources said besides updating each other on the issues discussed between them in April, they also discussed education projects.
