Vrindavan: Sadhvi Rithambara, a noted proponent of Ram Janmabhoomi movement who is associated with Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) and Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), on Wednesday courted controversy by saying that that it was good that Delhi gang rape victim died after the incident otherwise society would not have given her place.

 A 23-year-old medical student was gang-raped by six men in a moving bus in Delhi on December 16. This incident charged the whole nation and people took to streets to protest against it and seek severe punishments for culprits. The victim was brutally assaulted by the perpetrators inside the bus. She succumbed to her injuries on December 29 in a Singapore hospital where she was taken for specialised treatment.
