Hyderabad/New Delhi, Jan 05 (JNN): Former Congress man and MP from Kadapa, Jaganmohan Reddy, on Wednesday reportedly filed an application for creation of a political party before the Election Commission.

The application was filed by his uncle YV Subba Reddy on Jagan’s behalf.

The son of late Andhra Pradesh CM YSR Reddy, Jagan resigned from the party after the Congress expressed anger over the episode telecast on Sakshi television channel targeting the party leadership.

Sources indicated, Youth Sramik Ryot (YSR Congress) is likely to be the name of the new political outfit.

Jagan's mother Vijayalakshmi had also resigned as member of the state Assembly. She was elected unopposed from Pulivendula constituency in Kadapa district in December last year, following the death of her husband in a helicopter crash.

Jagan has been on the move since he put in his papers publicly, by organizing mass protests against the state government’s alleged failure to protect farmers.
