Agra: Inaugurating a three-day long annual conference of Dainik Jagran here, Jagran Prakashan Limited Chairman and Managing Editor Mahendra Mohan Gupta and Editor Sanjay Gupta said that social cause, positive thinking and skill development are bedrocks of a successful newspaper.  

Addressing the journalists and brand managers of the organization, they dwelt on the theme of event: ‘Brand Ko Jiyo’. As many as 250 representatives from different unit of Danik Jagran descended in Agra to participate in the media conglomeration.

Mahendra Mohan said, “Dainik Jagran always shoulders its responsibilities and is committed to the social causes. The organization has followed the principle of being in sync with time and catering to the needs of the society. Therefore, the common man can easily connect with us.”

“The technical efficiency and keeping pace with time put an individual and organization on fast track,” he said and added that, if you want to shine like sun, first you need to burn like it.


While speaking about media's social responsibilities, he gave the recent example of ‘Jagran Jyoti Yatra’ in Bihar, which was kicked off by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar to mark the celebration of 100 years of establishment of Bihar as a separate state.

Stressing upon quality of the contents, Sanjay Gupta chipped in, “If the contents are precise and flawless, the readers will be compelled to remain connected with the brand.”
Group directors Virendra Kumar Gupta, Sunil Gupta, Shailesh Gupta, CFO RK Agarwal and brand tycoon Deepak Suri were among others who spoke on the occasion.
