New Delhi: Taking its unique initiative of promoting entrepreneurship in the country forward, Jagran Prakashan Pvt Ltd- the parent company of Dainik Jagran, honoured some industrialists from Jharkhand and Punjab as ‘Jagran Gems’ on Friday.

Jagran Prakashan Chairman and CMD Mahendra Mohan Gupta and Dainik Jagran’s Editor and CEO Sanjay Gupta felicitated the industrialists in the esteemed presence of Union Information and Broadcasting Minister Ambika Soni.

At a special function organized here, they also unveiled separate coffee table books for individual business persons.

These industrialists have been honoured for their excellence in business and creating employment for people in Jharkhand and Punjab.

Two books -‘Sonar Mahe Jharkhand’ and ‘Punjab De Navratan’ - were released under the series of books by Jagran Gems on the occasion.

Speaking on the sidelines of the function, author of the books, Sharmishtha Sharma said, “We did not look at the balance sheets or business while selecting Jagran Gems. Their persona and contribution to the society was noted.”

Other dignitaries present on the occasion including Jagran Prakashan Limited Director, Sunil Gupta, renowned filmmaker Chandraprakash Dwivedi and Rang Manch Director Atul Tiwari also honoured the present industrialists.

Similar functions have been organised earlier for industrialists from Uttar Pradesh and Bihar.
