The report suggests that the reveal video involves a dramatic high-wire crossing performed by stuntman Jim Dowdall of Indiana Jones and James Bond fame.

The new Jaguar car is expected to be underpinned by a new aluminium platform and will be fitted with a wide range of engines which come from the existing range as well as from the Ingenious family of the XE. The top of the line mill is obviously expected to be the XFR which will make use of the 5.0-litre twin-turbo V8.

 It is expected to retain the original design overall but with newer bits making it more of an evolution rather than a completely new design altogether.

However, the XF was the first car to come out of Jaguar’s stable after it was bought by Tata in 2008.
