“Starting with Nagpur, he will be donating anything between Rs three lakh to Rs five lakh depending on the size of the NGO,” says a source close to the actor,

What’s more, the amount will be channelled from the film’s marketing budget. The source adds that money that is being saved on Salman’s travel arrangements -- he has chosen to travel with a small team and that too by a commercial flight and not a hired chopper -- will be given to these NGOs.

“This idea is in keeping with Khan’s generous streak and the central thought of this Sohail Khan film that advocates helping other people,” adds the source.

‘Jai Ho’ is Salman’s first release in more than a year; his last film, ‘Dabangg 2’, hit theatres in December 2012.
