Srinagar: In a bid to check cyber crime and the use of internet cafes by militants, anti-social elements and separatists, the Jammu and Kashmir government has started the registration of all cyber-cafes and internet service providers in the state.

Cyber cafe owners have also been asked to keep the complete details of their costumers and they should install all the important security devices like CCTV cameras in order to record the videos footage if they find any suspected activity.

State police has already listed all the cyber-cafe and internet service providers in the area and they have also started the screening of internet operators secretly.

The cyber-cafe owners have been directed to get their businesses registered as early as possible, and failing to do so will invite strict action against them.
