Srinagar: A team of Jammu and Kashmir police arrested a conman who had duped several Muslims from Mumbai airport on Friday.

The arrested person had opened an agency Hajij Private India Limited and tricked Muslims by taking money from them under the guise of arranging the Haj trip. According to sources, he was planning to leave the country with the money which he had generated through wrong means.

A special police team led by In-charge, Khanyar police station, Srinagar conducted the sudden raid in Mumbai and arrested the mastermind of the racket.

The money duped by the unfortunate devotees will be returned to them while the matter has been sent to the Additional Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Akbar Ganai for further investigation. He has been asked to submit the complete investigation report in the case by November 15.
