Jamshedpur: A supply officer of Potka block in East Singhbhum district was arrested for accepting Rs 15,000 from a Mahila Samity member at his residence at Dimna Road here on Tuesday.

A team of State Vigilance Department, Ranchi, conducted a raid at the residence of the officer, Sibendu Mohan, and caught him red-handed while accepting the bribe, Dadanji Sharma, Superintendent of Police (Vigilance), said.

Sharma said the vigilance officials laid a trap and arrested Mohan following a complaint lodged by one Sunita Sardar, a member of Marang Buru Mahila Samity of Tetla block for allotting a Public Distribution Shop in Potka.
