New Delhi: While the nation debates how much effective the Jan Lokpal Bill would be in curbing corruption, LJP chief and Rajya Sabha member Ramvilas Paswan has opined that the Anna Hazare's bill would instead spike corruption in the country.

Addressing a press conference here, he said bringing lower bureaucracy under the ambit of Lokpal will force them to knock the doors of higher judiciary to save themselves from suspension.

On Tuesday, President of Akhil Bhartiya Parisangh of SC/ST submitted the Bahujan Lokpal Bill to Paswan, who is also a member of the Parliament Standing Committee that is going through the Lokpal Bill.

The LPJ chief said, “Corruption is destroying the country but the medium adopted by Team Anna to fight corruption is also wrong. We won’t favour any activity that will subvert the Constitution.”

Paswan informed that 'Samvidhan Bachao, Bhrastachar Mitao' rally will be held on November 30 in the national capital to raise the concerns of the backward classes, vis-à-vis the anti-graft Ombudsman.
