The 76-year-old leader was admitted to the Army Hospital (Research and Referral) on August 8 in a critical condition.

"Jaswant Singh's condition is still serious. He is running mild fever today," a doctor said.

Jaswant Singh was brought to the hospital with a head injury August 8, following a fall at his house here.

He was brought to the hospital by his family members after they found him lying on the floor in an unconscious state.

According to Defence Ministry spokesperson, Singh's condition remains grave though his vitals are stable.

The former Defence Minister is still in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the Army Research and Referral Hospital here and is under constant watch, the spokesperson said.

Former Defence Minister, who is in coma, was admitted to the hospital at around 0100 hours on Friday and operated upon for the head injury after he fell down and continues to be on life support.

Singh, who has also served as External Affairs and Finance Minister during the previous NDA regime, was expelled from BJP early this year after he decided to contest Lok Sabha polls from Barmer in Rajasthan as an Independent after being denied a party ticket.
