Los Angeles: Rapper Jay Z is facing legal action over allegations that he failed to pay employee insurance for his domestic staff.
Executives at the Workers Compensation Board of New York have filed suit against Jay Z over claims he failed to pay premiums for his employees, which include drivers, maids and cooks at his home, for three months in 2009, as reported.
A court has ordered the hip-hop star to pay USD 18,000 for the lapse, and the government agency has now taken action to claim the money.
