"I strongly condemn the blasts. I have directed the police to coordinate with Railway Police to nab those behind this incident and initiate legal action against them,” she said in a statement here.

Ordering a CB-CID probe into the incident, the Chief Minister said, “I have asked the CB-CID to probe this incident. There is no need for panic as security measures have been tightened."

She also expressed grief over the death of a 22-year-old woman and sympathized with the injured.
The Chief Minister announced Rs one lakh ex-gratia to the family of the deceased and Rs 50,000 and Rs 25,000 to the grievously injured and those who suffered minor injuries respectively.

Meanwhile, Tamil Nadu Governor K Rosaiah expressed grief over the death of the woman passenger and wished speedy recovery of the injured.
The CPI (M) also condemned the incident and demanded that those behind the incident be arrested at the earliest.
One passenger was killed and nine others injured in the twin bomb blasts that went off in quick succession on the Bangalore-Guwahati train this morning.
