Hyderabad, Jan 19 (Agencies): Jewellery shop in Prakasam district of Andhra Pradesh was struck by burglars on Tuesday and decamped with around 7 kg gold ornaments, Rs 3 lakh in cash and other valuables, police said.

The thieves entered into 'Mastan Vali' jewellery shop in Kandukur town at around 2:46 AM after making a hole in the wall of the shop and stole the gold ornaments, Rs 3 lakh cash and silver articles, they said.

"They also cut the wires of the CCTV camera and disconnected the power supply to the shop before decamping," Kandukur DSP K Vara Prasad said.

The loss is estimated to be over Rs 1 crore, sources said.
