Ranchi: Taking note of the gross anomalies in the construction of hospitals and health centres, the Jharkhand Health Secretary has written a letter to the Jamtara Civil Surgeon in this regard.

It was recently found that builders, who were awarded these projects, had worked as per their whims and fancies and had violated the stipulated norms during the construction.

Accepting the fact, Health Secretary Vidyasagar through the letter warned the Jamtara CS and directed him to ensure that Sadar Hospital was constructed at a location which would benefit the masses.

During the review meeting of National Rural Health Mission last month, it was revealed that proposed site for the Jamtara Sadar Hospital is far from the main city. It was also found that due to vested interested builders constructed hospital and health centers far from the main city area. It caused a great deal of difficulty for the patients and their family members.

The copies of this letter have been also forwarded to all the Deputy Commissioners and Civil Surgeons to take the required steps.
