Ranchi: Jharkhand Chief Minister Arjun Munda continued to maintain silence on the demand for increase in subsidised cylinders from both allies and the opposition parties.

Asked at a press conference on Thursday whether the state government would provide three subsidised cylinders as demanded by the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha, Munda preferred to remain silent and took another question on illegal coal mining instead.

"... the organised network of routes to smuggle illegal coal has been curbed, and some people have been arrested," Munda said evading the cylinder query.

The JMM, an ally of the BJP-led government, has demanded that additional three subsidised gas cylinders provided to the people of Jharkhand.
