At a meeting on development of tourism in the state, Das said experts in the field might be chosen for their advice as development of several tourist spots could prove important in their development.

Suggesting to include dams and closed mines as tourist spots, an official release quoted him as saying that forts should also be renovated and emphasised on proper security management at tourist spots.

Das's meeting comes in the background of his government's assurance to the ongoing budget session of the assembly that it would soon have a tourism policy.

Among other places, members of the House had suggested development of Jain pilgrim centre, Madhuban, Tenughat dam and Suraj Kund at Barkatha in Hazaribagh district and Udhwa Bird Sanctuary in Sahibganj district.

Chief Secretary Rajiv Gauba, Chief Minster's Principal Secretary Sanjay Kumar and Secretary Sunil Burnwal, Tourism Secretary Avinash Kumar and Art, Culture and Youth Affairs Secretary Vandana Dadil were present in the meeting.
