Jamshedpur: In a bid to check the terrorist activities, the Jharkhand government has prepared a special plan to train school students by making them learn techniques of protecting themselves and others during a terror attack.

In this regard, the state government, Secretary, Dr MN Kerkatta has already sent a letter to the Additional Commissioners directing to start the training camp in schools at the earliest.

Gauging the sensitivity of the terror activities in the country, under the school safety plan all government and private school kids will be made aware of the security measures to be adopted during terror attack, earthquake and other disasters.

The District Education Officer, Ashok Kumar Sharma, informed that the department has received the letter and has forwarded it to all the schools. “The administration of schools is directed to conduct the exercise, "said Sharma.

Interestingly, the state government is also preparing a draft in this regard, which will be forwarded to all the schools in the state. It will lay stress on the schools to ensure proper implementation of the security related directions.

With a motive to create awareness, the state government has also directed to organise competitions like poster making, slogan writing, quiz, seminar and other activities in schools.
