Jharkhand HC to hear Madhu Koda bail plea on March 12

Ranchi: The Jharkhand High Court on Wednesday deferred the hearing of bail plea of former Jharkhand Chief Minister Madhu Koda till March 12. Koda is facing charges of money laundering and illegal investments.
The CBI, investigating the case, on Wednesday demanded extra time from the bench of Justice HC Mishra to prepare the report on the status of investigation in the multi-crore scam. The CBI is likely to table its report before the High Court on February 29.
The former Chief Minister has been accused of amassing wealth to the tune of Rs 3,300 crore by misusing his office between 2006 and 2008.
Koda was arrested on November 30, 2009.
