Ranchi: The infighting amidst two Ministers of Jharkhand over the issue of monetary grant to Madarsas in the state has posed a new challenge before the BJP-led coalition government.

As the Jharkhand Education Minister Baijnath Ram rejected the grants to madarsas saying there is no such provision, an annoyed Minority Welfare Minister Haji Hussain Ansari has raised the demand to remove Baijnath Ram from the state cabinet.

Enraged over the statement of the Education Minister, Ansari met Deputy Chief Minister Hemant Soren and announced to stage protest if Baijnath Ram was not removed from the portfolio.

Ansari even threatened that the base of the Jharkhand coalition government with the JMM will shatter if the government goes on to apply the BJP agenda in the state.

Appeasing Ansari, Soren said he is serious over the matter and will present the details before the Chief Minister Arjun Munda.

Speaking on the matter, Munda said the government is very much concerned for the welfare of minorities and has announced many schemes for their development.

Munda assured that the dispute between the two Ministers will be soon sorted out.
