Namkum (Ranchi): Jharkhand police has arrested three people including a fake mobile DSP while patrolling in the wee-hours on Monday. The arrested persons were later on sent to Birsa Munda Central jail.

All the three accused were reportedly collecting extortion money from truck drivers at the time of their arrest. The police also recovered six mobile phones, Rs 7,000 in cash, three files of trucks including an alto car and some papers from them.

Srikant Singh, one of the accused who was in the guise of a mobile DSP, is a native of Chhatarpur under Chauparan police station in Hazaribagh district and was living in a rented house near Dipatoli. Second accused - Krishna Kumar- is a resident ofJamui and third accused Mithilesh Singh is said to be the resident of Deoghar district of Jharkhand.

Krishna told the police that his father was posted at CCL (Central Coal Fields Ltd), Bokaro.
Accused Srikant told the police that he was an owner of a truck and an Alto car which were seized by the police.
