Bokaro: Two policemen were killed while three others were injured in the two-day long encounter with Naxals in Jhumra that ended Wednesday. The police was however successful in busting a Naxalite training camp and recovered explosives from the spot.

Acting on a tip off, the police cordoned off the area in Jhumra where training camp was in full swing.

Murari Lal Meena, IG, Bokaro zone informed that from last few days police was carrying out search operation against Naxalites in the Jhumra region.

A joint Police-CRPF operation was launched raids were conducted in Aman, Baltharva, Suarkatwa and other areas.

After the encounter, SP Kuldeep Singh along with the CRPF officers inspected the training site.
