Jammu: Jammu and Kashmir government will start procurement of wheat at the Minimum Support Price (MSP) of Rs 1,285 per quintal from on Monday.

"The procurement will continue till June-end," Agriculture Director, Jammu, Ajay Khajuria said.

Khajuria, who visited various seed villages of Samba district, said instructions have been given for timely and hassle-free procurement.

Arrangements for procurement are being made jointly by the Food Corporation of India (FCI), Department of Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution and the Department of Agriculture at 12 locations in the main wheat growing areas.
