Srinagar: The moderate faction of All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) on Friday dismissed the recently submitted report by Centre-appointed interlocutors on Jammu & Kashmir and accused the Central Government of having lackadaisical approach towards solving the prolonging problems of the people here.

Expressing dissatisfaction over the report, Hurriyat Chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq said that the government cannot solve the problem of the people without taking their wishes into consideration.

Addressing the Friday gathering in the historic Jamia Masjid in Srinagar, Mirwaiz said, “The government aims at delaying the solution to Kashmir issue and the appointment of the interlocutors and repot after one year is part of the same policy.”

“We don’t want greater autonomy or regional counseling. All we need is self rule,” Mirwaiz said.

“Neither India, nor Pakistan can solve the Kashmir problem until and unless people of Kashmir are not taken into consideration,” Mirwaiz added.
