Ranchi: Amid cold wave in Jharkhand, the political temperature in the state has raised as Deputy Chief Minister and JMM legislative party leader Hemant Soren has given ultimatum to the Chief Minister Arjun Munda to transfer of power.

After long political impasse in Jharkhand over fractured verdict in assembly polls in 2010, BJP and JMM had reached an agreement on sharing power on rotational basis.

Fearing the possible challenge from within JMM, Hemant Soren has focused on party MLAs. Several JMM leaders including Torpa MLA Paulus Surin, who is considered to be close to Sita Soren camp, on Wednesday met Hemant.

Paulus Surin, who has raised banner of revolt against the JMM leadership on several occasions, discussed the current political scenario in the state with Hemant Soren.

However, senior JMM leaders deny of any political bickering in the party over the leadership of Hemant Soren.

A close aide of Shibu Soren said that Hemant Soren is the political successor of Guruji. That is why Hemant started to look after the party affairs.

Hemant along with some of his associates is striving hard to take the party MLAs in confidence.
