Guwahati: Stressful lifestyle and irregular food habits have made journalists and other media employees in Guwahati vulnerable to gastro-enterological problems and hypertension at a young age, a recent health check-up revealed.
Over 60 percent media persons were suffering from gastro-enterological problems and nearly 10 percent were hypertensive, according to the health check-up programme at the Guwahati Press Club.
After examining 175 media persons, the doctors of the Down Town Hospital who were conducting the programme said that the findings were due to stressful lifestyle and irregular food habits.
The attending doctors advised the media persons to go for further tests and take medication.
The health check-up programme was organised by the Down Town Hospital on the occasion of its 23rd anniversary in association with the Guwahati Press Club.
