New Delhi: In a rare case, retired Justice of Allahabad High Court Dharam Veer Singh, who had pronounced verdict in favour of Lord Rama in Ayodhya Ram Janmabhoomi, has approached the Supreme Court for seeking justice. He filed a plea in the Apex Court for demanding his appointment as member in Green Tribunal.

Justice Dharam Veer has alleged in the plea that the selection committee, which also comprises a Supreme Court judge, had recommended his name for appointment as judicial member in Green Tribunal but despite the committee’s recommendation, the Central government has not passed the order in this regard.

He said that he had sent a memorandum to the government in, but no any reply so far. Now he wants the Supreme Court to intervene into the matter.

Noticeably, the present President of Green Tribunal LS Panta is also a retired Supreme Court Judge and he is quite upset about this plea.
