Rahul Dravid

Dravid made his Test debut for India in 1996 against England at Lord's. He came in at number 7 and played a brilliant knock of 95 runs. He went on to play 164 more Tests for India, amassing 13, 288 runs at an average of 52.31.

Sourav Ganguly

Debuting along with Rahul Dravid on the same day was the 'God of Offside', Sourav Ganguly. Unlike Dravid, Sourav managed to cross the line and score a century, giving a sneak peek into what was to come in the future. Sourav, affectionately called ‘Dada’ by his fans, has played 113 Tests scoring 7,212 runs at an average of 42.17.

Virat Kohli

The current Test captain of India made his debut against West Indies in 2011. His innings was pretty disappointing as he got out for mere four runs. However, his disastrous debut could not weigh him down as Virat has now played 41 Tests, scoring 3000 runs at an average of 40.

Praveen Kumar:

Virat was not the only one to debut on June 20, 2011 against West Indies. He was accompanied by fast bowler Praveen Kumar and Tamil Nadu batsman Abhinav Mukund.

Praveen made an impressive start to his Test career, scalping 3 wickets in each innings, thus aiding India in winning the match and gaining lead in the three-match series against the Caribbeans. Praveen has played six Test matches till now, scalping 27 wickets.

Abhinav Mukund:

An established name in Tamil Nadu cricket circuit, Abhinav Mukund also made his debut with India's Test squad against West Indies alongside Virat Kohli and Praveen Kumar. He scored 11 and 25 in successive innings but was dropped from the team the same year, having played 5 Tests in all. He has 211 Test runs to his name and an average of 21.10.
