New Delhi: Despite dissociating himself from Nalanda International University, former President APJ Abdul Kalam has assured Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar of extending his cooperation in creative projects of the state.

Kalam was appointed the university’s first Visitor. However, annoyed over the appointment of Gopa Sabharwal as the vice-chancellor, Kalam has rendered his resignation from the post. The resignation has been forwarded to the President.

At the same time, Kalam did not agree with some of the decisions of the Nalanda Mentor Group (NMG).

Even though Bihar CM made efforts to convince Kalam to withdraw the resignation, the former President has remained adamant on his stand.
