New Delhi: Sacked chief of the CWG organizing committee, Suresh Kalmadi who is facing charges in connection with the CWG scam, has requested the court to instruct Tihar jail officials to provide a separate vehicle to take him to and fro from the court as he fears for his life from other under trials accompanying him in the jail vehicle.

Kalmadi has filed an application in the special CBI judge Talwant Singh’s court in Patiala House to arrange a separate vehicle for him.

The court has asked the Tihar Jail Superintendent to file an answer whether separate arrangements could be made for Kalmadi.

Former colleagues of Kalmadi like Lalit Bhanot, VK Verma, M Jayachandran, Surjit Lal, ASV Prasad have also asked for a separate vehicle.

Kalmadi is accused of bending the rules while awarding the contract of Time Result Scoring (TSR) device to a Swiss company.
