The Sherlyn Chopra-starrer movie created a record of pre-sale at Cannes 2013. Paul feels it is befitting to have a premiere there as Indian cinema is being accepted well by the international audience.

'Kamasutra 3D' will be in Hindi and English. It is based on Vatsayana Kamasutra, an ancient Hindu text in Sanskrit literature. The movie is set in the backdrop of real historical milieu.

Kerala-based filmmaker Paul, who has earlier directed Malayam films like 'Laptop', 'Pithavum Kanyakayum', said that considering the strict censorship of films in India, he has prepared two versions of 'Kamasutra 3D'.

When asked if he would change the title of the film to get a certificate from the censor board, Paul, a journalist-turned-filmmaker, said that he won't change the name and is also ready to go to the court if he is told to alter something in the movie.

Paul also had words of praise for his leading lady Sherlyn, who supported him right from the beginning and didn't leave his side even when the film was facing rough waters.

"I must admit that Sherlyn irritated me a lot and threw many tantrums but I can't thank her enough as she is the only one who stood by me. There were so many people who left my side during the making of this film. The film was delayed by a year and half. But she was there by me," Paul said.
