New Delhi: Pak terrorist Ajmal Amir Kasab’s amicus curiae, Raju Ramachandran, have denied to accept fees of Rs 11 lakh for defending Kasab in court.

Ramachandran filed an application in the Supreme Court on Monday in this regard. Earlier the Apex Court had ordered to pay Rs 11 lakh to Ramachandran and Rs 3.5 lakh to Kasab’s another lawyer Gaurav Agarwal.

But senior counsel Ramachandran said that the amount offered to him for defending the Pak terrorist should be given either to Legal Service Authority or to some needy people. A bench of the court would later decide on the application of Ramachandran.

On August 29, the Supreme Court had upheld the death sentence of Kasab, caught alone in 26/11 Mumbai terror attack, handed out earlier first by a Maharashtra trial court and later by Bombay High Court.
