In a statement issued on Monday, CPI-M State Secretary Mohammad Yousuf Tarigami said that most of the CAPD retail outlets established for Kashmiri migrants in Jammu, particularly in Jagti, Roopnagar and Purkhu camps, are running dry, causing tremendous problems to the public.

"Time and again I have raised my voice for provision of adequate amenities and essentials to the Kashmiri migrants," Tarigami said during his interaction with migrants when they raised the issue of shortage of foodgrains in their respective camps.

The CPI-M leader urged the administration to rush food stocks to these depots. He also asked the Centre to release additional quota of ration for the Kashmiri migrants.

“These migrants are unable to afford ration and other essentials from open market,” he added.
