Los Angeles: Actress Keira Knightley is reportedly being roped in to star in a biopic about Euphemia 'Effie' Gray.

The actress is in talks to play the unhappy young bride in a film project called 'Untouched', which will be a rival for another film 'Effie' starring Dakota Fanning as the titular character.

While Fanning's 'Effie' already enters production, 'Untouched' is still in the early phase of pre-production.

Brazilian director Andrucha Waddington has been tapped to helm the upcoming period drama, while Aleksandra Crapanzano is set to pen down the script.

'Untouched' follows the real-life love affair between young Effie, who is trapped in a loveless marriage, with her British art critic husband John Ruskin and his protege, painter John Everett Millais.
