A popular newspaper daily had claimed that while responding to a question posed by an investment banker Anil Singhvi, in a meeting of fund managers and stock brokers on Wednesday, Kejriwal said, “If you hold a gun to my head, I will choose Modi.”

According to media reports, Singhvi confirmed the news saying Kejriwal had refused to answer his question at first but on being insisted he said if forced he will chose Modi.

However, the former Delhi chief minister denied the reports and tweeted, “ Tv channels pe chal raha hai - "kejriwal ne kaha ki modi aur mayawati ke beech main modi ko prefer karunga". (TV channels are showing that I said I would prefer to choose Modi) I never ever said that.”

“Complete fiction being planted in favor of modi. Aise to Modi ko vote nahi milne wale (Modi is not going to get votes like this)” he posted.

After launching his Maharashtra tour for the Lok Sabha election, Kejriwal had on Wednesday said that there is no Modi wave in the country. He also said that only one person can save the country and that was the aam aadmi.
