Thiruvananthapuram: The Kerala Department of Higher Secondary Education (DHSE) has declared Kerala HSE Results 2016. The news has put smiles on the faces of nearly 4.6 lakh students, who have been patiently waiting for the Kerala Plus Two Results 2016. After the official announcement at Board headquarters, the Kerala 12th Result has been made available to the students on official websites and The latest information from DHSE also suggests that the Vocational Higher Secondary Examination (Kerala VHSE board examination results) will also be declared along with the Kerala Plus Two results 2016.

The news about the declaration of Kerala +2 Result 2016 was made public through a notification by DHSE. The notification also stated that the declaration ceremony of Kerala Results for 12th class students is likely to be graced by state education minister Sri. P. K. Abdu Rabb. The ceremony will also be attended by senior officials from general education department and DHSE.

This year, the Kerala Higher Secondary Examination (HSE) was held 09 - 29 March 2016. The exam was conducted at nearly 2,100 centres across Kerala, Lakshadweep and the gulf countries, in which 4,60,743 students participated. The number of students in this year’s board examination has increased by around 30,000 as compared to the 2015 exams when 4,32,000 students appeared for the HSE Exam. Since the completion of Board examination, the DHSE Kerala had organized 66 valuation camps from April 4 onwards, where thousands of teachers were involved in answer sheet assessment.

Last year, the Kerala HSE Result was announced on 21 May, 2015. The overall pass percentage in last year’s result was 83.96%, which is significantly higher compared to 2014’s record of 79.39%. Keeping up the national trend, girls beat the boys by a major margin in terms of success ratio. The pass percentage for girl students was 89.34%, while boys could only secure 77.78%. Looking at the increased student participation and positive reviews about exam paper, the DHSE is expecting higher success ratio for Kerala +2 Result 2016.
