Kerry, visiting the region for the 10th time in last nine months, will meet Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas in hope of achieving a framework agreement that would include an outline for a final agreement, media reported.

Kerry was scheduled to meet Netanyahu on Thursday evening and Friday afternoon. US Secretary of State was expected to meet Abbas on Friday evening and Saturday morning.

He will return for an additional meeting with Netanyahu on Saturday night and may hold more meetings with the two on Sunday if there is any development over the weekend. From Israel he would move on to Jordan on Sunday.

Kerry is not expecting a breakthrough but hopes to get some agreements on the guidelines to be included in a final peace agreement, media an official from US State Department as saying.

Schumacher will not give up: Family

Paris: The family of injured Formula 1 driver Michael Schumacher has thanked fans for their "great support".

"We all know he is a fighter and will not give up," reported media citing the family in an online statement.

Schumacher, who turns 45 on Friday, remains in a stable but critical condition, his manager said earlier.

The most successful F1 racer in history is in a medically induced coma in hospital in Grenoble, after a skiing accident in the French Alps. He was skiing off-piste when he fell and hit his head Sunday. His helmet cracked on impact after hitting a rock.
