New Delhi: Former Haryana Minister and prime accused in Geetika Sharma suicide case Gopal Kanda’s aide Chanshivroop, who turned approver for the police, went missing reportedly after November 27.

The revelation was made by his father Harminder Singh in Rohini court. Surprisingly, the Delhi Police, which had demanded speedy court trials, seem to be taking no interest in the proceedings.

Chanshivroop had given his testimony on November 27 under section-164 of CRPC in Rohini Court. The next hearing was scheduled on December 1 in Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate DK Jangla’s court but Chanshivroop didn’t appear for testimony.

His father told the court after testimony on November 27 he reached home only to inform that he was leaving for Mumbai. The family had failed to contact him after that. Though, Harminder has denied receiving any kind of threatening calls.

A Deputy Commissioner of Police accepted on Sunday that he has no idea about Chanshivroop’s whereabouts. According to the police sources, Chanshivroop is a key witness in Geetika Sharma suicide case.

The court has fixed December 4 as the next date of hearing into the matter.

Earlier, the 23-year-old air hostess had committed suicide on the intervening night of August 4-5 at her house in Delhi's Ashok Vihar area. In her suicide note, she had accused Kanda and his employee Aruna Chaddha of harassing and forcing her to kill herself.
