In the R Balki-directed movie, the 30-year-old actor plays a homemaker while his wife (Kareena Kapoor) goes to work.
"The film deals with a boy who believes housewives have not got their due. If you don't have stability in your personal life through your partner then you cannot achieve anything professionally," Arjun said in an interview.

"Housewives run the home and sacrifice a lot but many people forget that. The guy in the film wants to be a home maker because he believes women make home and fulfil dreams. It's a very emotional issue," he added.
The actor said the romantic movie 'very sweetly' also deals with the issue of gender inequality.
"The conversation we have initiated in 'Ki & Ka' has been bubbling over a long time in offices, at home. There have been talks about equality. 'Ki & Ka' in a very sweet way says that if you have talent then gender doesn't matter," the 'Gunday' star said.
Arjun is, however, prepared for extreme reactions for the film as it gives a twist to the system of a traditional Indian household.
