Patna: Bihar is counted as India’s one of the poorest state but its Rajya Sabha MP, King Mahendra Prasad, India’s richest MP, offers his state a reason to take pride. A survey agency has listed Mahendra Prasad as richest MP who owns Rs 692 crore’s private property. Prasad has surpassed even liquor baron and another Rajya Sabha MP Vijay Mallya who represents the state of Karnataka in the Upper House.

Mallya owns a private property worth Rs 615 crore. Actress turned politician and Samajwadi Party Rajya Sabha MP Jaya Bachchan, who represents Uttar Pradesh in the Upper House, is the third richest MP of the country owning a private property worth Rs 484 crore including immovable property of Rs 140 crore.

Rs 258 crore, another Andhra Pradesh MP T Subbarami Reddy is on the fifth place. Abhishek Manu Singhvi, Congress’ Rajya Sabha MP, is on the sixth place in the list of richest MPs with private property worth Rs 228 crore.
