New Delhi: With the appointment of Bhagat Singh Koshiyari currently BJP's national vice president as the head of Uttarakhand poll campaign committee, the Party has tried to send across a united image of its leadership in the state.

Both BC Khanduri and Koshiyari were in the race for the post of Chief Minister when Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank was removed. In a bid to boost the party image prior to the state polls, the BJP had recently appointed Khanduri as Uttarakhanad CM.

However, the saffron party has tried to appease Nishank by accommodating him as the vice-president. Nishank, who had skipped the national executive meet on Friday, attended the same on Saturday. As the Assembly election is approaching, the party underplayed Nishank’s absence from meet on Friday to keep the unity intact.

It is worth mentioning that both Khanduri and Koshiyari had joined hands against Nishank government.
