Rampur: With Uttar Pradesh assembly elections round the corner, the Congress is leaving no stone unturned to make scathing attacks on the BSP government in the state. Urban Development and Poverty Alleviation Minister Kumari Selja alleged BSP supremo Mayawati of promoting corruption in the state.

Addressing a public rally in Tanda in support of Begam Noor Banu’s son Nawab Kazim Ali Khan alias Naved Miyan, Selja attacked Mayawati for creating rift between the Dalit community in the state and urged people to vote for the Congress for changing the face of the state.

Accusing the BSP’s misrule, she said Mayawati has done nothing for the benefit of Dalits in the state.  Discussing about the Congress policies, she said that the Prime Minister has taken several decisions for the betterment and welfare of the people. The schemes started by the Centre focused primarily on basic and technical education. It also introduced Right to Information Act (RTI) to bring malpractices into light.

Besides, the Congress brought quota for backward class and provided 4.5 percent reservation for minorities as well.
