"It was a scheduled check-up and there is nothing to worry. After all his reports are received later today (Monday), his family will decide future course of action," an official of the Asian Heart Institute (AHI) said.

He is currently under the supervision of AHI chief and renowned heart surgeon Ramakanta Panda.

Lalu is undergoing the checkup on a day when the results of Bihar Assembly by-polls are scheduled to be declared.

The former Bihar chief minister, who joined hands with Janata Dal (United) leader and another ex-CM Nitish Kumar, is seeking a turnaround in his political career which got thwarted in the recent past after he was jailed over his involvement in the infamous fodder scam.
