Gopalganj: Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Lalu Prasad Yadav and LJP chief Ram Vilas Paswan on Monday sought a probe into the killing of a doctor within the Gopalganj district jail premises. The leaders said the killing has exposed the tall claims of a good governance in the state.

Lalu said, “There should be a high-level investigation into the doctor’s killing and people responsible behind the crime should be exposed.” The way doctor’s genitals have been injured by the inmates is a matter of shame, said Lalu.

“The consecutive victory in the Assembly elections seems to have gone into the head of NDA government. There is no legal system in the state,” said RJD chief.

He added, “All Chief Minister Nitish Kumar can boast about are the development projects started in the state by UPA-I under the ‘Bharat Nirman’ mission.”

Lalu said, “After proving a failure on all fronts, Nitish is misleading the people by raising the demand for a special status to Bihar. Whereas a committee headed by the CM himself had failed to convene a single meeting in a time span of three years.
Paswan said, “The brutal killing of the doctor has exposed the state administration. Incidents like murder, rape and dalit harassment have become common in the state.”
