The model, which is a two-wheeled drive version of the Italian sportscar marque's popular Huracán coupe, is powered by a 5,204cc engine and is capable of reaching a top speed of 320 km/hr.

The company claims that the new Huracan LP 580-2 can accelerate from 0–100 km/hr in just 3.4 seconds. "This is the purist expression of Huracan till date with class leading technological refinements designed to deliver sheer performance," he added.

The model was showcased at the Los Angeles Motor Show two days back. It will be retailed in India from Delhi and Mumbai initially. It adds to Automobili Lamborghini's existing Huracán offering of the four wheel-drive Huracán LP 610-4 and the Huracán LP 610-4 Spyder.

Previous Lamborghini rear-wheel drive models include the predecessor Gallardo LP 550-2.
