  • The Android 5.1 Lollipop-based V5 runs the company's proprietary Star OS 2.0.
  • It supports dual 4G SIMs and Lava says it is upgradeable to Android 6.0 Marshmallow.

  • It is powered by a quad-core MediaTek processor clocked at 1.3GHz clubbed with 3GB of RAM.
  • It packs 16GB of built-in storage which is expandable via microSD card (up to 32GB).
  • The handset also supports OTG support. The V5 packs a 3000mAh battery.
  • Apart from 4G, the handset supports GPRS/ EDGE, 3G, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Glonass, and Micro-USB, with VoLTE support to be added via a software update at a later stage

Lava is positing the V5 as a camera-focussed phone with 4G connectivity. The Lava V5 sports a 13-megapixel rear as well as an 8-megapixel front camera. The rear camera packs features such as PDAF (phase detection autofocus), f2.0 aperture, 5P Largan lens Blue glass filter, and dual LED flash.
