Lucknow: Samajwadi Party (SP) supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav on Thursday claimed that the law and order situation in Uttar Pradesh was far better than in cities like Delhi and Mumbai.

He said that the law and order situation in UP was "completely under control" adding that those spreading canards against SP won't take names of Delhi and Mumbai, where the crime rate was comparatively much higher.

Mulayam termed the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections as a big challenge, claiming that all eyes would be on SP as neither Congress nor the BJP would form the next government and the third front would come to the power. It will be possible only when SP emerges as the biggest power in the state, the SP supremo noted.
