Haji Yaqoob Qureshi: Bears the image of an aggressive Muslim leader. Uncompromising over listening anything against Islam. Came in limelight in 2006 after declaring reward for the assassination of the Denmark cartoonist who had made a cartoon of Prophet Mohammad.  

Nawab Kokab Hameed: A well reputed Muslim face in the Western UP. Famous as a serious and well read Muslim leader in the region who was earlier associated with Congress. Now he is one of the most trusted lieutenant of RLD chief Ajit Singh.


Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi: Once he was elected to the Lok Sabha from Rampur seat on BJP ticket. Have been frequently visiting to the state and not a new face for Muslims. Least acceptable to Muslims owing to his image as BJP-sycophant. Nowadays, engaged in gaining acceptance in the party with the help of Muslim clerics.

Shahnawaz Hussain: Former Union Minister. Outsider but well-known for UP electorates. Party is well aware of the fact that he is not so effective in drawing Muslim support; it still plans to hold his public meetings with a view to pacify the community’s anger against the party.
