Kolkata: The Left Front is not leaving the slightest of opportunities to spit venom on the Trinamool Congress government in West Bengal.

The threat issued by Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee to withdraw the support from the Union Government over the issue of petrol price hike has failed to impress the Left Front leaders who termed it a mere political gimmick.

Left Front chairman Biman Bose said, “We have been raising issues pertaining to public welfare including inflation. TMC is opposing the petrol price hike due to political reasons, whereas the fact remains that the decision to decontrol petrol prices was taken when Banerjee was a part of the Union Cabinet.”

Left Front is going to hold meeting at Ranirasmani Road Dharmatalla on November 28 over the issues of price rise, petro price hike and political violence.

Senior Left Front leaders along with party workers will sit on dharana and thereafter they will court arrest under their ‘Kanoon Todo Andolan.’

The Left Front workers will also hold agitation at district headquarters from November 11 to 20.
It is worth mentioning that several Left Front leaders joined the ‘Kanoon Todo Andolan’ called by central trade union on November 8.
